“The centurion understood authority and orders. He was under authority and had authority over others.” This scripture relates to me and my work because I have been with my company for some time now and have seen many people come and leave over my years. I have worked my way up from the very bottom of the department in which I work and have therefore paid “my dues.” In each area that I have learned and moved on from I have had the opportunity to train the next person under me. Therefore, I in a very loose sense had brief “authority” over others. I enjoy training and teaching because when my coworker becomes proficient in the task or tasks, they are being taught I too feel a sense of accomplishment. I am assigned to train by those whose authority I am under therefore I am given the authority over others.
